Lip Blush Tattoo
Lip Blush Tattoo is designed to enhance your lips with soft, long lasting colour. It can help to:
Restore colour that has naturally faded with age,
Improve lip definition around the boarder of your lips,
Balance asymmetry,
Create a more even lip tone,
Create the illusion of bigger lips,
Conceal scaring and,
Subtly enhance the overall appearance of your lips, all without looking like lipstick.
Forget everything you think you know about lip tattooing! The techniques used today are completely different to those from 5-10+ years ago. Rather than creating a bold, solid block of colour, modern lip blush tattooing uses soft layers of pigment to build a natural-looking tint that's completely customised to you. The goal isn't to make your lips look tattooed, it's to make them look like the best version of your natural lips.
Every treatment is individually customised to suit your natural colouring and your personal goals. Whether you're after the look of a tinted lip balm or something a little more defined, we'll work together to create a colour that's uniquely yours. Feel free to bring along your favourite lipstick or inspiration photos to your appointment as these help us to determine the colours you like.
Does lip blush tattooing hurt?
This is probably one of the questions we get asked the most! The good news is that we use a compounded numbing gel throughout the treatment to keep you as comfortable as possible. Everyone experiences discomfort differently, but the majority of our clients tell us they were surprised by how comfortable the procedure actually was.
Treatment Time: We allow 3 hours for lip tattooing appointments
Your appointment includes a thorough consultation, custom colour matching and a detailed pre-draw to ensure you're completely happy with your shape before your treatment begins.
Lip blush is a two-step process, so a perfecting touch-up is required after your initial appointment (additional cost). We recommend scheduling your touch-up 10–12 weeks after your first session. This gives your lips enough time to fully heal and reveal their true healed colour, allowing us to make any final adjustments for the most beautiful and long-lasting result.
Treatment Cost:
$790 - Initial session (please always check our current promotions tab when booking)
$220 - Touch up (10 weeks post initial treatment)
Your Complimentary Consultation
Thinking about lip blush but not quite ready to book? That's exactly what our consultations are for.
During your consultation, Kymberley will assess your natural lip colour, lip shape, skin tone and discuss the look you'd like to achieve. You'll have plenty of time to ask questions, chat about the treatment and healing process, and find out whether lip blush tattooing is the right option for you.
Together, you'll discuss your desired colour, expected results and any concerns you may have, so you can feel confident and informed before deciding to proceed.
Consultation Fee: Complimentary
-
Consultations are only mandatory if you have had your lips tattooed previously (regardless of how long ago it was). In saying this, we do highly recommend you attend a consultation prior to your treatment date anyway. Every client is individual and has different wants or needs. With this in mind, we utilise the consultation time to establish these, and to ensure we can meet your expectations.
During your consultation, we will discuss your desired outcome. Do you just want a soft blush of colour, or are you after something more pigmented. We will go through some pigment colour options and map your lips so you can get am idea of the shape that can be achieved. You are also welcome to bring along any images that you like and/or your favourite lipstick shade so we can discuss all the options available.
-
You will require a minimum of 2 treatments.
I do my sessions 10-12 weeks apart (age dependant) so the skin is fully healed before we re-assess and add any further pigment.
These treatments are charged separately at each appointment. All pricing is detailed above and in the online booking section.

Covering previous work is decided on a case by case basis. Sometimes we can work over the previous work and sometimes we can’t. The previous tattoo needs to have faded quite substantially and needs to be a certain colour to ensure a good healed result. The previous shape also needs to be something we are happy to work with. In some cases, you may need to have laser removal before we will apply our work.
If you have existing tattoo (no matter how old it is), you must first come in for a consultation so we can confirm that we are able to work over the area.
-
Absolutely. Colour retention and overall results vary from person to person. Factors such as sun exposure, skin type, aftercare, lifestyle, immune system, and skin undertones determine how your cosmetic tattoo will heal.
-
Cosmetic tattooing is designed to gradually fade over time and will need to be refreshed anywhere from 9 months - 2-4 years for brows, and 2-5 years for lips. The frequency of refresh appointments will depend on many features, including the techniques chosen, the pigment colour used, and the individuals skin type and lifestyle. For example, oily skin types tend to need a re-touch earlier than people with drier skin types.
Ideally, we want need to still be able to see the previous tattooing, but we do want it to be quite light in order to achieve a good healed result again. If you allow the pigment to fade out completely, this will not be regarded as a re-fresh. It will be charged as a brand new set again.
We ask our clients to get in touch once they feel like they have faded, and we will then have you come in for us to confirm if they are light enough. If we feel like they need to be a little lighter, we will advise you to wait a little longer before refreshing them. The integrity of your skin and the final outcome will always be our first priority.
